SEPTA will host guest speaker, Russell H. Tobe, M.D., Director, Clinical Evaluation Center, Nathan Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research for a virtual presentation focusing on Autism and he will also be discussing the interplay between natural gut bacteria, their byproducts, and ASD symptoms.

ABOUT DR. RUSSELL TOBE
Russell H. Tobe MD is a board certified adult psychiatrist and board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist. He received his MD from the University of Chicago-Pritzker School of Medicine in 2005 and completed his training in adult and child psychiatry at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Columbia/Cornell and New York State Psychiatric Institute. He joined NKI in June 2011 and is the Director of the Clinical Evaluation Center. At NKI, Dr. Tobe works on a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers and clinical coordinators to develop new treatments and advance understanding of neurobiology of Autism Spectrum Disorders. He will be discussing the interplay between natural gut bacteria, their byproducts, and ASD symptoms. Dr. Tobe will also review a new program hoping to improve irritability for teens with ASD by reducing gut bacterial byproducts.
